About TUTU

TUTU Publishing House is a division of the TUTU Children's Cultural Centre, founded in 1996. If you visit our other web site at http://tutu.aznet.org, you'll be able to find out more about our humanitarian activities.

So far, we at TUTU have published more than 60 books, with a total print run of 520,000 copies. This makes us leaders in the field of children's publishing in Azerbaijan. We've received help from the following organisations, for which we're very grateful: the Soros Foundation, the Norwegian Refugee Council, OXFAM, Relief International, ISAR-USAID; oil companies including UNOCAL-KHAZAR, Statoil, BP; the embassies of: the USA, United Kingdom, Norway and Israel.

TUTU is the only publishing house in Azerbaijan which produces world class children's literature in Azeri, written in the Latin alphabet - which has recently become the official script of Azerbaijan, taking over from Cyrillic. Every year, TUTU participates in the largest International Book Fairs in Frankfurt and Bologna. The company's top priority is publishing books with top quality text, layout, illustration and printing. Azerbaijan's best poets, writers, painters, layout designers, composers and musicians are working with us. Our books are printed in Turkey and the UAE, on high quality paper, using the most up-to-date printing technology. We write, design and edit our books using the most modern computer equipment - the new generation Power Macintosh computers with the latest software for layout design.

If you are interested in children's literature in Azeri, you've probably already heard about us. But as we say in Azeri: It's better to see once than to hear a thousand times.
